Green Island Getaways

Green Island Getaways roots are in the agricultural industry that dates back hundreds of years. Originally belonging to the Parsons family, the property was a productive part of Island cattle farming up until the late 1970s. Looking to retire from the hard life of farming they sold the property and it eventually ended up in the hands of “Arctic Joe” Womersley, a WWII vet and successful businessman. He was given the nickname after organizing and completing several marathons in the Arctic Circle and across the globe. He was remembered as the oldest Canadian to complete the Iron Man triathlon at the age of 60!

“The Cowshed” is a newly renovated barn nestled among the trees. The main level houses a bar, kitchen and has capacity for up to 180 people seated. The lower level has a 4-bedroom apartment with all the amenities. We have flexible packages that include all our accommodations. Combined with the our barn lodge, we can house up to 24 VIPs!

Settled among rolling farmlands, forested trails, and meandering rivers, we are the perfect location for nature-lovers or those looking to unwind in peace and quiet.

Our rustic barn offers a refreshing and fun atmosphere to host your next corporate event. Tabled seating and catering service for up to 150 guests. Projection equipment and sound systems are at your disposal. We can make sure your meeting goes off without a hitch!
